Still in good operation is my grandfather's Ford factory recommended conversion trencher. Apparently my Grandfather was reading a British farming magazine in the early 1970's and saw this conversion of a super major, he wrote to Ford in the UK and obtained the blue prints. The system is based on infinatly low speeds by running the gearbox from the belt pulley with the "high low" lever in neutral to isolate the engine from the back end. The belt pulley shaft is turned by a oil motor with a flow valve in the cab. These blue prints were built up by Lyndon Thompson a fantastic and fastidious local engineer.Thanks for Watching ????
