COM:çI was aboard the USS America on a "Tiger Cruise" with my Marine Son. I was allowed to wander all over the ship at will, and I returned to the forecastle many times because of ceremonial significance of the forecastle. My son explained that often, promotion ceremonies are held there. For the rest of my life I will be gratefull to the Navy for giving me the oportunity to live life aboard an aircraft carrier with my son. The food was damn good too! Happy to see that Navy beat Army today!!
