com:The red Belarus has had the original engine pulled out , the chassis rails cut & stretched , & a bigger , possibly ex lorry 6 cylinder engine shoehorned in , bloody difficult stuff to do , but a prospective excellent result in progress , guys here used to do this with Fords , Nuffields ( which became Leylands ) International Harvesters , & Masseys , it takes skilled experienced blokes to get it right , but fantastic when they do , the mechanics here are to be congratulated . Try doing this in a stone cold shed in Russia . This job always needs to be on a bomb - proof gearbox & back axle , as just bags more power . My old dad used to like Belarus tractors for their toughness , I,m a brit . I once looked at one at the old royal show , but was bothered about getting parts , from Minsk , so asked the rep , he said & I quote " Vlad says , you pay bill , anything at all , 24 hours by plane ! "  just unbeatable .
