Irrigated Agriculture: It is an agricultural system applied by irrigation in dry farming areas with annual rainfall below 500 mm and with irregular annual precipitation over the seasons. Since moisture can be accumulated in the soil by irrigation in irrigated agricultural areas, there is no need for fallow and crops are taken every year in such areas. For example, in the irrigated agricultural areas of Central Anatolia, field crops such as sugar beet, potato, corn, sunflower, bean and alfalfa frequently take place in the crop rotation. In irrigated farming areas where the Mediterranean climate prevails (for example, in Çukurova), after the main winter crops such as wheat, rapeseed and early potato crops, one of the summer crops such as soy, sesame, peanut, corn and even cotton is planted and two crops are removed per year.
