Farming in the Snow Montana Style!!! 2021

In today's video, I will take you on a tour of Greyn's fertilizer plant where we have been buying fertilizer for over 40 years!!! I take a ride in the big tractor that my dad hired to fertilize our fields. It is 10 below zero F in Montana!! The tractor is having a hard time getting up the hills with a 16,000 pound load of fertilizer. We zoom around the fields. I learn that our wheat needs nutrients just like people. My dad flies his drone over the truck filling up with fertilizer and also around our Montana fields. The GPS on the tractor shows us what has been fertilized and what has not. This is no farm simulator! This is the real thing! The snow is all over the place this winter. We don't usually farm in the snow. We need to make sure our crop can take advantage of the moisture and that is why we are laying fertilizer in the snow. This is real-life farming under the big sky, Golden Triangle area in Montana!!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 16-year-old 4th generation farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
