Tracmach State president John Piavanini, former owner of T&H Walton stores, and thousands of Chamberlain and John Deere tractors, following the announcement at Farm Weekly last year that he was withdrawing support from Gnowangerup.
Mr. Piavanini said that Brendon Haeusler, a local farmer in Karnamah, suggested Mr. Walton to form a committee and start gathering support and funding ideas to bring the project together.
"The Karnamah Grand Tractor Committee has been established and is in the process of receiving official support from the local council," said Mr. Piavanni.
"Large funds for the project will come from State and Federal grants.
“It is on the way to raise money as private and corporate donations are already coming.
"The committee has also created an online GoFundMe page that can be found by searching gofundme 'Project Giant Tractor'."
Bob Lukins, founder of Tracmach, said that the giant tractor will be the first known to be made of steel in the world.
