AC D-21 plowing with 9000 series 7 bottom plow. A little more traction would have been nice. But still a very fun tractor to watch plow. Cache Valley Antique Machinery Association fall plow day 2015 (CVAMA) Coulters, or basically those who cut sod. make a difference in how a plow performs. I once removed mine to plow corn stalks with the intention of making the plow lighter in weight and providing better garbage clearance. It was my fault; although they did a decent job of ripping, it didn't resemble plowing, so I put them back on. Oh well, lesson learned!

BTP, what a find. It is important to remember that more Black Stripe 66 Series tractors are currently in use than were manufactured in 1976. The black stripe decal kit was applied to these creatures by several of the folks who painted or restored them. Any way you look at it, these are a damn good set of tractors. Over the years, we've had a black stripe 966, a 1066, and a 1566 in the family.

I can't go to these exhibitions like I used to as a child with my grandpa because of livestock husbandry. I'm grateful for the effort and expense you've put into getting the tools to record such high-quality videos and posting them online for free viewing. I appreciate you very much!

It is extremely regrettable that US companies no longer manufacture or control once-proud American names like Allis-Chalmers, as well as many more brands that are no longer produced and brands that are still in use. I could write a very long essay about businesses that were market leaders and were once owned by US citizens but are no longer, and as a result, the US is no longer the industrial superpower it once was. If US business owners don't wake up quickly and in a hurry, and Congress doesn't protect companies from unwelcome corporate raiding, sooner or later this nation will have no industries.

A D17 series 4 prototype was once a part of the fleet of the farm services section of Penn State University. There was no serial number on the tractor. It was a series 3 tractor with some improvements over series 3 tractors and the new series 4 design. It featured a Perkins 4-cylinder diesel engine, which I've never heard in a tractor before. More than a tractor, it had a sewing machine-like sound! Nice tiny tractor and tedder for raking.
